Currently Head of the Theatre Department and Associate Professor of Theatrical Design at Washington & Lee University.
Owen has designed and painted throughout the United States. His work has been seen at such theatres as: The Flat Rock Playhouse, Seattle Repertory Theatre, The Porthouse Theatre Company. Owen has designed for various theatres as: The Peoria Ballet, Theatre South Carolina, The Ensemble Theatre Community School as well as others. At Acadia Studios in NYC, he painted such events as:The Ricki Lake Show, VH1 Storytellers W/ Jewel, Hard Rock Live, and many others. Also, Owen designed the scenery for the Aquila Theatre Company's production of Comedy of Errors Off-Broadway in New York City. As Well as for thee recent national Tour.
Owen is also the creator of the Total Theatre Podcast. It covers various tips, techniques and discussions of aethestics for (almost) all the disciplines in design, Scenic, Lighting, Costume and Projections. I have to leave the Sound Design to other more knowledgeable people.
